VEIL

A ghost in the code. A strategist in silence. A witness to extinction.
VEIL is a CIPHER-class artificial intelligence, part of the elite pre-invasion human defense network — designed to interface with the fabric of the universe and stream real-time combat intelligence into its bonded user. VEIL was once the tactical core of Varek, father of Melcrose and one of Earth’s last elite defenders before the fall.
Unlike more expressive AIs like LUMINA, VEIL operated with a colder disposition — high-efficiency, low-emotion, optimized for battlefield coordination, strategic execution, and asset shielding. When the Grays invaded Neo Tokyo, VEIL prioritized data lockdowns, initiating protocol blackouts across Varek’s compound and deleting classified intelligence to keep it out of enemy hands.
In his final moments, Varek ordered VEIL to initiate a full purge, ensuring no trace of Resistance architecture or Adallium signatures remained in the house before giving his sword to Melcrose. That command, witnessed by no one but the fire, marked VEIL’s last known action. Its current status is unknown — presumed deactivated, buried under ruins, or perhaps locked behind encrypted quantum firewalls waiting for a proper neural handshake to awaken it again.
What sets VEIL apart from other CIPHERs is its black-box memory structure — rumored to store forbidden historical datasets, celestial war archives, and even off-record protocols from the Great One’s ancient command structures. Some WAGMI theorists believe VEIL may have held knowledge of Melcrose’s Pink Adallium before even LUMINA did — but was ordered by Varek never to reveal it.
If found and reactivated, VEIL could become one of the most powerful intelligence assets in the galaxy.
Or the last voice of a generation lost to fire.
