Dawn McTeigue (pronounced "McTeg") is a self-taught comic book artist born in Melbourne, Australia — an American and Irish citizen who has lived across Honduras, Japan, Poland, Hungary, Austria, and Mexico before settling in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. One of the most prolific and convention-active cover artists working in independent comics today, Dawn published her first comic cover in March 2012 and has since built an extraordinary body of work spanning DC Comics, Image Comics, Valiant Entertainment, Dynamite Entertainment, Zenescope Entertainment, Coffin Comics, Aspen Comics, Dark Horse, and Rothic — a catalog that places her among the most widely published cover artists of her generation.
Her DC credits alone speak to the scale of her reach — contributing covers to Batman #50, Detective Comics #1000, Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy, and Punchline, all landmark issues within the DC publishing calendar. Her long-running collaboration with Coffin Comics on the Lady Death franchise has produced some of her most sought-after collector pieces, while her co-creation of DiVinica with JP Roth for Rothic established her as a storytelling force beyond cover work alone. A fixture at major conventions including MegaCon, Fan Expo, and L.A. Comic Con, Dawn brings the same energy and professionalism to every show she attends that she brings to every cover she produces.
Her Comics Elite retailer exclusive variant cover for NiFe WARS Issue #3 adds another bold chapter to a career defined by its remarkable breadth — and brings one of comics' most recognizable cover styles to the NiFe WARS universe.
