Retailer Program Terms
These terms apply to retailers who order exclusive NiFe WARS covers through retailers.nifewars.com (the “Portal”). They supplement our Terms of Use. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
1. Who can join
The program is for businesses: comic shops, collectible stores, creators and podcasts that we approve.
The person using the Portal must be 18 or older and authorized to bind the store.
We may approve, decline or remove any retailer.
2. Access
Sign-in is by email code, sent to the addresses linked to your store.
Everyone you add to the store can place and approve orders for it.
Keep the list of linked addresses current.
3. Orders and pricing
The minimum order is 200 books per cover, in blocks of 50.
Metal variants are available only on orders of 300+ books, with at least 10 metals.
Prices, variants and deadlines are shown in the Portal when you order.
Orders and final art are due 30 days before release. Sketches are due 10 days before final art.
An order is a request until we send the invoice.
Joint exclusives (2–3 retailers): the lead retailer who places the order pays, approves proofs and receives all books at one address. Every retailer is credited on the back cover and in COLLECT.
4. Payment
We send the invoice through our Shopify store once your artist is approved.
Payment is due before printing starts, which is at the final art deadline. Production continues while unpaid, and we send reminders.
We may hold shipment until the order is paid in full.
Invoices are issued tax-exempt for resale. You are responsible for a valid resale certificate and for collecting sales tax on your own sales.
5. Artwork and deadlines
You choose your cover artist and pay them directly. We are not a party to that arrangement.
You must link the artist’s Instagram before we accept the order.
Upload the sketch by the sketch deadline and final art by the final art deadline.
Files you upload are stored in our Google Drive for production.
If you miss a deadline, your order may move to a later print run.
6. Proofs and approval
We send a proof of the front and back covers. You can request changes or approve.
Approving the proof locks the order. After that we cannot change the art, quantities or variants.
On joint exclusives, only the lead retailer approves.
Check spelling, logos, colors and bleed carefully. Printed colors may vary slightly from screen.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Exclusive covers are custom goods. Orders are non-refundable.
One exception: if you miss the final art deadline and choose not to risk late delivery, you may cancel and get back what you paid us.
What you pay your artist is between you and the artist.
Report printing defects or shortages within 14 days of delivery, with photos, and we will replace or credit them.
8. Shipping and risk
You pay shipping. US shipping is added to the invoice; international shipping is quoted separately.
Each order ships to one address.
Risk passes to you when the carrier takes the shipment.
Ship dates are estimates. We are not liable for printer or carrier delays.
9. Intellectual property
The NiFe WARS characters, story, logos, trade dress and the comic’s interior remain ours.
You must get every right from your artist that we need to print and promote your cover.
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to your store name, logo and cover art. We use it to print your exclusive, credit you, and promote the release on our sites, COLLECT and social channels, including after the program ends.
You confirm you hold those rights, and you will defend us against any claim that the art infringes.
10. Exclusivity and resale
Your cover is exclusive to you (and listed partners) at the agreed print run.
You set your own retail price.
Do not reprint, alter or misrepresent the product or its print run.
Do not imply that NiFe WARS endorses anything other than your release.
11. COLLECT pages
Your first order creates a public retailer page on collect.nifewars.com: store name, logo, city and socials.
It appears once your first release goes live.
You can edit those details in Store profile.
Each printed copy carries an NFC tag that links it to its COLLECT record.
12. Messages
We email and text your store about orders.
Order texts are on by default for your store’s business number, under the Messaging Terms.
Turn them off in Store profile, or reply STOP.
13. Confidentiality
Unreleased art, issue plans, pricing and print runs are confidential until we announce them.
14. Liability
Our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Neither side is liable for lost profits or indirect damages, except for IP indemnity or breach of confidentiality.
15. Disputes
Arizona law applies. Courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, have exclusive jurisdiction, because this is a business-to-business agreement.
16. Changes
We may update these terms for future orders, with notice in the Portal. Orders already placed keep their terms.
