Two editions. One universe.

Every NiFe WARS issue is released in two formats. They tell the same story, but they serve very different collectors.

Regular Single Issue: The open edition. Features original cover artwork and the full interior story. Not limited — available as long as stock holds.

Blind Bag Edition: A sealed, limited-run collector pack. Inside is one of several variant covers and you won't know which until you open it. Every copy is NFC-chipped. Holographic chase variants are seeded throughout.

The regular edition is for readers who want the comic clean and accessible. The blind bag edition is for collectors. People who care which cover they pull, who are chasing a complete set, and who want a piece of NiFe WARS history that most people will never own.

Both editions are equally canon. The story inside is identical. The difference is entirely in what's on the outside and what's embedded inside the cover.

What is a blind bag?

A blind bag is a sealed opaque pack containing a product whose contents you can't see before opening. You know what could be inside, you just don't know what is inside. That tension between certainty and surprise is what drives collector culture across trading cards, vinyl figures, and now comics.

In the NiFe WARS blind bag edition, each sealed pack contains one copy of the issue. But which cover variant you receive is the mystery. It's the same mechanic that powers Pokémon packs and modern collectibles: the unboxing moment is part of the experience by design.

Every blind bag comic is NFC-chipped

Every single comic in the blind bag edition, from the most common variant to the rarest Adallium holo, contains an embedded NFC chip. No exceptions. Tap it with your phone and your comic is instantly verified as a genuine NiFe WARS collectible, with a digital twin generated for your specific copy.

The art — multiple artists, zero compromises

Every blind bag drop features multiple cover artists across the variant pool. We don't cut corners here. Each artist we bring in carries serious credits — DC, Marvel, Image, Disney, Netflix, HBO and beyond — and every cover is an original piece created exclusively for NiFe WARS. Not repurposed. Not licensed filler. Purpose-built for this franchise by artists at the top of their game.

The regular single issue carries its own original cover artwork. The blind bag edition expands that into a full variant pool. Different artists, different styles, all hitting at the same elite level. Whoever you pull, you're getting something worth having on its own merits.

The five holographic chase tiers

The blind bag edition is the only way to get holographic covers in NiFe WARS comics. They are exclusive to the blind bag run and you will never find them in the regular single issue edition. Seeded throughout every blind bag print run are five levels of holographic variant covers, each rarer than the last. The tier names aren't arbitrary, they're drawn directly from NiFe WARS lore.

Nickel & Iron are the elemental building blocks of the story's universe. NiFe is the scientific abbreviation for the Earth's iron-nickel core, and the name at the heart of this entire franchise. Gold and Adallium represent rarer, more powerful materials within the canon. The rarity of each tier reflects its place in the mythology.

Above even the Adallium tier sit the hand-drawn 1/1 sketch covers. One-of-a-kind originals seeded into the blind bag run. There is exactly one per issue. Whoever pulls it owns the only copy in existence.

A new drop every two months

NiFe WARS blind bag issues drop on a regular two-month cadence. Each issue is a new story chapter, a new artist lineup, and a new limited run. Sealed, chipped and gone when they're gone.

The rarity structure is consistent across every drop. A Nickel is always more common than a Gold. An Adallium is always harder to pull than a NiFe. The ladder is locked, even as run sizes evolve with the audience. Once a run sells out, we don't go back to press. What's out there is what exists.

Built for something bigger

NiFe WARS isn't a comic that's hoping to become something. It was architected from the beginning as a franchise-scale property. The kind of deep, serialized sci-fi/fantasy world that streamers like Netflix, Amazon, and Disney are actively looking for.

We've already written seasons' worth of material. The story bible runs nearly 900 pages. We have fully written anime episodes, complete character origin arcs, and a mythology that rewards long-term investment from casual readers to obsessive lore-heads.
