The NiFe WARS Scavenger Hunt Comes to NYCC | Four Days, Forty Prizes, One Show Floor
New York Comic Con runs October 8 to 11 at the Javits Center, and we are turning the whole floor into a hunt.
Find us at Booth 1043.
Here is the short version: every NiFe WARS chip you find at the show is an entry into that day's prize drawing. Ten prizes go out every single day of the con. You do not have to buy anything to play.
How to Enter
Two ways in. Both count the same.
1. Find the Hunt posters
Free. No purchase, no catch.
We are placing NiFe WARS Hunt posters at participating retailer booths across the show floor. Each one has a chip in it, and each one is worth an entry.
Hold your phone near the chip, then tap the notification that appears on your screen to register your entry. First time through, you will make a free NiFe WARS Collect account. Takes about ten seconds.
Every poster also prints the full map of where the other posters are, so the first one you find tells you where to go next.
Retailer | Booth |
|---|---|
NiFe WARS | #1043 |
PCB Hobby | #3538 |
Chokehold Collectibles | #3661 |
Comics Elite | #3724 |
Unknown Comics | #3753 |
Captured Collectibles & Sweet Deevs | #3801 |
Knight of Comics | #3838 |
Comic Xposure & Last Boy Scout | #3935 |
Collector Cave | #3959 |
2. Register NiFe WARS product you already own
Picked up a NYCC retailer variant? A Comic #3 blind bag? Ripped a Series ZERO pack and pulled a holo? Those all count.
Register any eligible NiFe WARS item to your Collect account while you are in Manhattan during the show and it earns you an entry.
Eligible items:
NiFe WARS #3 blind bag releases
NiFe WARS NYCC Retail Exclusive Variants
NiFe WARS Series ZERO trading cards: every chipped holo and every 1-of-1 Comic Cover
Each individual item is worth one entry for the whole show, so a card or book that has already been registered will not earn a second entry for someone else.
Every Series ZERO pack has a guaranteed chipped holo in it, which means every pack you open is another entry.
Entries stack and they carry forward. An entry you pick up Thursday stays live Friday, Saturday and Sunday too, right up until you win something.
What You Can Win
Ten prizes, every day, for four days. Forty prizes total.
Qty per day | Prize |
|---|---|
3 | Metal glow in the dark comic |
4 | NiFe WARS Comic #3 blind bag |
1 | Series ZERO ten pack |
1 | Series ZERO five pack |
1 | CGC grading for a comic of your choice |
One prize per person across the whole show. Once you win, you step aside and let someone else have a shot.
When the Drawings Happen
Day | Entries close | Winners announced |
|---|---|---|
Thursday, Oct 8 | 6:00 PM ET | Shortly after, at Booth 1043 |
Friday, Oct 9 | 6:00 PM ET | Shortly after, at Booth 1043 |
Saturday, Oct 10 | 6:00 PM ET | Shortly after, at Booth 1043 |
Sunday, Oct 11 | 4:00 PM ET | Shortly after, at Booth 1043 |
Note the Sunday time. It is earlier, and it is a hard stop.
Miss a cutoff and nothing is lost. Entries picked up after a drawing roll straight into the next one. The only exception is Sunday at 4:00 PM, which closes the hunt for good.
Winners get a text message and get announced live at the booth.
Everybody Gets Something
Pick up a single entry and you have earned a free NiFe WARS card pack.
Come to Booth 1043, show us the code in your account, and it is yours. One per person, while supplies last.
You do not have to win a drawing. You do not have to buy anything. One entry is the whole requirement.
Why We Built It This Way
The chip in every NiFe WARS book and card is the point. It is how a collectible proves it is real, how it carries its history, and how it connects to the people who made it. Most collectors who pick one up have never used it.
So we made a game out of it. Walk the floor, find the chips, learn the gesture, and maybe go home with a hobby box worth of loot.
Along the way you will meet a dozen retailers who went out of their way to carry an independent sci-fi comic, which is the other thing worth celebrating here.
